The Faculty of Law (FH) at Unissula continues to strengthen the internationalization of its education through a Student Mobility program with two universities in Malaysia: Multimedia University (MMU) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This initiative is part of an effort to enhance academic quality, broaden students' global perspectives, and bolster international networks in the fields of education and research.
Under this program, the Faculty of Law at Unissula has sent three students to Multimedia University (MMU) in Melaka for a one-semester academic mobility period, running from October 29, 2026, to March 28, 2027. Through this experience, students are expected to gain international learning exposure, familiarize themselves with the higher education system in Malaysia, and improve their academic competencies and cross-cultural interaction skills.
Additionally, the Faculty of Law at Unissula has dispatched 12 students to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for a one-month Student Mobility program, taking place from November 1 to November 29, 2026. The delegation to UKM is accompanied by four faculty members and two administrative staff, who will support academic activities, institutional coordination, and student guidance throughout the program.
The arrival of the Unissula delegation at both MMU and UKM was welcomed by the leadership of each university, including their respective deans and vice-deans. These meetings served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional communication, explore potential academic partnerships, and open avenues for collaboration—ranging from student and faculty exchanges to joint research and curriculum development.
The accompanying delegation from the Faculty of Law at Unissula includes the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ida Musofiana, S.H., M.H.; the Faculty’s International Ambassador, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Argo Victoria; the Head of the Bachelor of Law Study Program, Dr. M. Rizal Bagaskoro, S.H., M.H.; and the Secretary of the Bachelor of Law Study Program, Aditya Noviansyah, S.H., M.H.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, Prof. Dr. H. Jawade Hafidz, S.H., M.H., has expressed his full support for the Student Mobility program, viewing it as a key component of the faculty’s strategic internationalization agenda. This program is designed not merely as a short-term student exchange initiative, but also as a foundation for building more integrated academic cooperation.
One of the objectives of this partnership is the implementation of a double degree program in the coming year. Through this initiative, students will have the opportunity to pursue their education at two universities simultaneously, earning academic qualifications in accordance with the terms and agreements established between the two institutions.
By facilitating student mobility to MMU and UKM, the Faculty of Law at Unissula aims to broaden the scope of its international collaboration, ultimately enhancing the quality of its graduates. This program also serves as a step toward fostering an internationally-oriented academic environment, in line with Unissula’s vision of developing a *khaira ummah* (an exemplary community/generation).
Looking ahead, it is expected that this partnership will expand to include double degree programs, faculty exchanges, joint research, and the further development of legal education. Consequently, students from the Faculty of Law at Unissula will not only gain academic experience abroad but will also acquire the perspectives and competencies necessary to navigate challenges at both the regional and global levels.
