Unissula debriefs 728 Students for Community Service Program

A total of 728 students of Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) attended the debriefing of community service program IV 2017/2018 at Unissula Auditorium on Monday (5/2/2018).

Chairman of Department of Research and Community Service, Dr. Heru Sulistiyo in his speech revealed that 4th period of community service program was participated by 728 students from 4 faculties namely Faculty of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Nursing  and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.

“We need to remind that community service program is done thematically, so that what the students do must be based on problem solving. Department of Research and Community Service of Unissula has observed the problems and potentials of the village and the results will be given to the supervisor so that students will be able to directly implement the community service program within 20 days “, he added.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector III, Dr. Ir. H. Muhamad Haddin, M.T. advised all participants of community service program to seriously implement community service program so that the vision of Unissula especially in the case of building Islamic civilization to the prosperous society that is blessed by Allah SWT within the framework of rahmatan lil ‘alamin can be realized.

“As part of community, you have to contribute in solving problems or developing the potential in the village according to your field of study”, he concluded.

The debriefing of community service program presented Drs. H. Ali Bowo Tjahjono, M. Pd. to provide the debriefing on Islamic Academic Culture (BudAi). It also presents 3 heads of sub-districts and 1 regional planning and development agency for the participants to explain the portrait of the problem in the village specifically.

Participants of community service program will be distributed in 4 districts of which are Jepara, Semarang, Kendal and Demak districts. In total it consists of 24 villages and 35 hamlets.
