Unissula Rector, Ir. Prabowo Setiyawan, M.T., Ph.D. asked retired lecturers and employees to continuously contribute to support the campus. “We expect continuous prayers, constructive input, and the support of retired lecturers and staffs as a contribution to support the campus,” said Prabowo during iftar event with the Unissula academic community at Kaligawe campus mosque (23/5). The event was attended by Unissula’s lecturers, staffs, and retirees. This activity was also a follow up to Unissula’s agenda in building intimacy with its retirees, which is held periodically for three times a year.

The event was also included with a religious advice (tausyiah) that was presented by Ustadz Mustofa, caregiver of Ponpes Baitussalam Mijen. He said that during Ramadan two jihads were collected, namely jihad during the day by sustaining hunger, anger, dishonesty, etc, and jihad at night with qiyamullail, namely performing night prayers, dhikr, and so on. “Allah SWT promises that anyone who is able to collect the two jihads in the month of Ramadhan will be given a large reward and cannot be counted,” said Mustopa.

Still according to Mustopa, the main thing that cannot be forgotten in carrying out worship is being consistent (istiqomah), which is to keep on practicing worship continuously because the continuous practice is more favored by God rather than sporadic practice.
