Jepara Regent, Ahmad Marzuqi, S.E. received 560 students of Unissula for Community Service program in Jepara Regency Hall (11/2/2019). In his remarks, he conveyed that in implementing the three main responsibilities of higher education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi program), may Allah SWT give convenience and His Ridho. “On behalf of the local government, we would like to welcome you to Jepara regency, the place of birth and revival of a national hero, Ibu Kartini. In this hall, that we live in, Kartini wrote the book Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang, “said Marzuqi.

He added “From this rationale, Jepara has a big contribution to Indonesia in terms of electrical energy for Java, Madura and Bali. This is one of the implementations of Kartini’s thoughts in the current era, from a dark land with less lighting, now to a bright Indonesia with electricity,” he said.

Besides running Tridharma of Higher Education, it cannot be separated from what the old scholars said before. Knowledge will be great if it is studied and the teacher/lecturer is only a mean to convey knowledge. Essentially, knowledge giver is God. As students, in this case they use the method of learning and discussing knowledge before the teacher conveys knowledge. Then, they get additional knowledge from the teacher during the learning process.

When the knowledge gained by students becomes useful, it is very important to ask for teacher’s Ridho for what has been obtained. If students underestimate the teacher, then the teacher does not give his ridho, as the result, do not expect God to the benefits from the knowledge he has acquired. Then, blessing will be obtained if wisdom or devotion is carried out mainly nasrulilmi or spreading knowledge is carried out with sincerity. Afterwards, it can make our dreams of glory come true. Furthermore, if the service is based on the word Abdun or servant then what grows from the bottom of the heart is sincerity and humility.

“Hopefully this community service (KKN) agenda can be held as well as possible with sincerity. We are very happy that our area is used as a location for Community Service by Unissula which is surely hoped that there are good benefits for our area. Areas that are used for this program have complete natural resources. There are mountains and beaches or sea which have high potential for the tourism sector. Hopefully, this thematic community service has a solution to develop those potentials,” concluded Marzuki.

Meanwhile the head of Research and Community Service Office of Unissula, Dr. Heru Sulistyo, S.E., M.Si said that the participant number of Community Service Program in Jepara Regency was amounted to 560 students. They were sent to 3 subdistricts and distributed to 28 villages. “They are from the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering, Economics, Islamic Studies, Laws, Industrial Technology, Nursing, Languages and Communication Sciences, and Teacher Training and Education. “We hope they can make a real contribution in the effort to develop Jepara in accordance with their respective fields of science and be welcomed with pleasure by Jepara society,” concluded Heru Sulistyo.
