The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Unissula is the first and best Faculty of Dentistry in Central Java. FKG Unissula was established on May 19, 2008 and has been accredited “B” through the Higher Education Independent Accreditation Board for (LAM-PT) Health, through the LAM PTKes-BAN PT Decree No: 070 / SK / BANPT / Akred / PDGI / II / 2015 dated 28 February 2015.

FKG Unissula has a vision to become the leading Faculty of Dentistry in Indonesia in producing professional dentists as part of the khaira ummah generation based on Islamic values ​​in 2025. FKG drew up a 2011-2020 strategic plan for Dentistry Education study program with 11 strategic development issues, namely science, technology, research, and human resources.

FKG Unissula is committed to meet the high expectations of the community for quality dental education services. Academically, FKG has an elective program that is different from the others. Then to illustrate the characteristics of Unissula, the integration of learning modules has been carried out with related arguments. Its mission is to produce a khaira ummah generation who develop dentistry science and technology, uphold professional ethics, master the basic values ​​of Islam and Islam for the disciplines of Dentistry, English, IT, entrepreneurship, and are ready to carry out leadership and dakwah.

With the vision of being a leading faculty in Indonesia, the faculty has formed a group of educators who possess the highest quality expertise in the field of dentistry with high standards and universal equality. Also upholds the ethics of the dental profession, mastering basic values of Islami and Islamic values ​​in the discipline of dentistry, carrying out educational tasks consistently, and developing science and technology, as well as leadership and dakwah.

Unissula FKG students are always given the best education in the field of dentistry based on Islamic values ​​and international standards. Students are also encouraged to carry out and develop scientific research and publications of the highest quality in accordance with Islamic disciplines, in the context of developing Dentistry. To sharpen the mastery of knowledge in the field of dentistry, Unissula Dentistry students can also take part in Co Assistance in various partner university hospitals abroad such as in Japan and South Korea.

Strength:

1. Competency-based learning system with PBL (Problem Based Learning) approach.
2. Having sufficient infrastructure. Currently it has the best OSCE center in Indonesia.
3. Has a Dental and Oral Islamic Hospital (RSIGM) which is under the Main University Hospital namely Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital (RISA). This is an advantage because it is not very easy to become a major teaching hospital.
4. The Indonesian medical council said that RSIGM owned by FKG Unissula has a system with high efficiency so that it can become a model for other institutions. Therefore many universities especially those with dental faculties visit FKG Unissula for comparative studies.
5. Member of the South East Asia Association for Dental Education (SEAADE).
6. Have various assisted villages for professional education programs.

1. Sultan Agung Dental and Oral Hospital (RSIGM) Sultan Agung.
2. Have a main classroom that is equipped with small classes for tutorial activities
3. Representative classrooms, equipped with complete pre-supporting facilities (LCD, AC, etc.).
4. Has an OSCE Center (Practice Exam as a dentist).

Achievement

The Unissula Faculty of Dentistry has succeeded in encouraging high-achieving students in various fields. Achievements achieved in 2018 include:

• Runner-Up Poster Presentation Contest, at the Bali International Dental Symposium 10-12 May, FKG Team
• Attended Tokushima University co assistance in Japan, 29 October, Rifandy H, Rohmatu WN, Intan KS
• 3^rd Champion of SLC, 2018 Oral Medicine Conference in Bandung, 16-17 November 2018
• 1^st and 3^rd place, and Top Scorer at DSL National in Malang, November 16-18, Futsal Team

Cooperation

FKG Unissula cooperates both locals and foreign institutions, including various Indonesian IPDGI, various network hospitals and various government and private institutions. While in the international, FKG Unissula collaborates with Hongkong University, and International Islamic University of Malaysia, Tokushima University Japan. FKG has also created communication forums with 7 Islamic Institutions Faculty of Dental, including Unissula, UMI Makassar, UNY, UMS, Unimus, Unbrah Padang, and Yarsi Yogyakarta.

Student Activities

Unissula FKG students have the opportunity to develop leadership and independence soft skills through student organizations such as BEM, SEMA, Islamic Association of Dentistry, as well as various UKM such as Arkanala Mapala, Basketball and Futsal, Dentila Choir. Unissula FKG students also play an active role in the Indonesian Dental Student Senate Association (PSMKGI) such as holding a national social service, and LKMM.

Graduate Prospects

Unissula FKG has 2 programs, namely bachelor in dentistry program and professional dentist program. Therefore FK Unissula graduates will received two diplomas, namely bachelor of science in dentistry degree and professional degree.

It is expected that FK Unissula graduates will become competent, competitive graduates nationally and internationally, and become an Islamic dentist as the identity of the institution. Unissula FKG graduates must also pass the UKMP2DG National Examination (Dentistry Professional Student Competency Test). Some graduates have become employees in the ranks of the Ministry of Health, and some have become lecturers in various universities and as health workers in private clinics.
