Blora Regent, Djoko Nugroho and the Rector of Unissula, Ir Prabowo Setiyawan MT PhD signed an MoU in cooperation in the fields of education, research and community service at Blora Regent Office (7/2/2019).

Regent Djoko Nugroho emphasized the importance of the collaboration. He wanted this collaboration to be focused on increasing the potential of the region and providing public education such as improving the quality of religion, health, and others.

“Alhamdulillah, we can establish cooperation with Unissula. This is a good start for us to be able to improve people’s welfare. I hope that through these cooperation programs, it will be able to improve the potential of the region, especially in the field of animal husbandry, agriculture, and other fields,” said Djoko Nugroho.

The regent, who is fondly called Pak Kokok, also asked Unissula to educate the people in Blora Regency. This is due to the high divorce rate because many people do early marriage. The contributing factors are mostly due to economic factors. “Therefore, through programs like community service (KKN) I hope to be able to change the mindset of the people so that it will have a positive impact on the progress of Blora society,” concluded Djoko Nugroho.

Meanwhile, Rector Prabowo appreciated the signing of this collaboration. “This collaboration is our effort as a university to be able to provide benefits to the people. One of them is through the Community Service Program. Community service in the future is needed by the community. The effect of technology today has tremendous impact on society. Therefore, through programs such as community service (KKN), it will be able to guard the noble values and culture of Indonesian people to be maintained in the community. So, the community can utilize technology to positive things,” he explained.

“With the resources we have, we are ready to implement the three main responsibilities (tridharma) of higher education in Blora Regency. We hope that this collaboration will bring benefits to Unissula and Blora Regency Government for the interests of the people,” he concluded
