Faculty of Economics (FE) Unissula held a debriefing event for prospective volunteer tax center with the theme of studying tax to build tax synergy held at Unissula (25/1). The event is a part of cooperation between Faculty of Economics Unissula tax center with the Directorate General of Taxes Central Java Region I of which the opportunity was represented by Muhammad Hanif Khumairi, Head of KKP Pratama Gayamsari Semarang.

Chairman of Faculty of Economics Executive Board Unissula,  Hani Werdi Apriyanti, S.E Msi., Akt. explained that this kind of event will be held continuously and programmed to increase awareness, concern and knowledge as well as technical skills of taxation for students.

Furthermore, students will be mapped according to interest to the tax center which covers education, services and consulting, and research. “So far, students have been equipped with theories of taxation in lectures. This program is required to increase the technical skills of taxation. Therefore, this kind of program accompanied by collaboration with the Director General of taxation is expected to be able to contribute through the practice of the field by assisting the community in taxation obligations”, Hani stated.

Ahmad Rudi Yulianto SE Msi, a lecturer of taxation conveyed that the students as a potential taxpayer will be able to contribute in order to improve tax compliance, both for themselves and for the community either through socialization, or later when they work and have enterprise.

“As we know that the climate of tax compliance in Indonesia is still diverse, there are some who are against to the tax, but there are also those who are for and synergized. Our duty is in oder to make antagonistic climate where there is distrust of responsible taxpayer to the Director General of Taxes in paying this tax able to be minimized so that the acceptance of the state revenue can reach the target “, said Rudi.
