The team from Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Unissula brought home all four awards in the 5th National Elementary Education Exhibition (PPDN) which was held in UAD Yogyakarta (29/6). One of which was Dewi Susilowati, a second semester student under the guidance of Andarini Permata Cahyaningtyas, who succeeded in bringing two trophies, namely as the first winner and the best paper in storytelling competition.

Meanwhile, Diah Ayuk Tri Sutaji and Yurinda Primasari, sixth semester students under the guidance of lecturer Nuhyal Ulia, also won first place and best speaker in the Scientific Writing competition. “I am very proud of the achievements that have been gained by the Unissula PGSD student team in PPDN this time,” said the Dean, Imam Kusmaryono.

In line with that, Head of PGSD Program, Jupriyanto, added “They deserve this title because they have also tried their best for the last two months in preparing for the best in this event.” PPDN is an annual event that is participated by delegates of Elementary School Education Programs throughout Indonesia. Therefore, their achievements certainly proved that Unissula’s Elementary School Education Program is able to compete on a national scale. “Of course we still have to work hard at the next opportunity to be able to carve other achievements, both in academic matters, in the next PPDN event, or even in other competitions,” concluded Jupriyanto.

This achievement did not then make all those three female students become arrogant. They felt that the success they achieved was not only the result of their own hard work, but also the guidance of the lecturers who never felt tired of directing them to get to this point. In addition, this achievement is not just an achievement, but also triggers the enthusiasm for other Unissula’s Elementary School Education students in order to be successful.
