Sultan Agung Wakaf Foundation (YBWSA) declared the halal ecosystem for its units, agencies and institutions which was held at the Unissula auditorium (18/6). The chairman of the foundation, Hasan Toha Putra, said that the declaration of the halal ecosystem in his foundation was an effort to always expect the grace and blessing of Allah SWT by inviting all foundation employees to implement four principles.

First, consume and use products that are clearly halal and thoyib. Second, keep away from Haram and Syubhat products. Third, strengthen the economy of the people by prioritizing buying, consuming, and using products belonging to Muslims for the realization of Islamic da’wah in the economic field. Fourth, conduct transactions and muamalah according to Islamic sharia and avoid transactions that contain riba and procedures that are forbidden by Allah SWT.

The speaker, drg. Suryono, Ph.D., fully supported the declaration of the halal ecosystem, so that it became the right momentum institutionally for making collective efforts to improve the quantity and quality of the faith in Allah. Still according to Suryono, that at this time the need for halal certification is increasing and the product that requires halal certification including foods, pharmaceuticals, and clothing products are more needed by European and East Asian countries such as China, Korea, Japan, etc. “That should be an encouragement for us Muslims to become the front line in raising awareness of the importance of consuming halal and thoyib food, besides the opportunity to become a leader in halal certification is very much possible for Indonesia, which is predominantly Muslim.”
