Reviewer of Students Creativity Program (PKM) Align Their Perception at Unissula

The Head of Student Reasoning and Creativity Sub Directorate Ristekdikti, Dr. Misbah Fikrianto, encouraged students to create student creativity programs with the current issues. “I see many students who are very creative by proposing up-to-date research programs such as artificial intelligence, but on the other hand there are still many who have not moved on from old ideas that are very common which certainly will not make the reviewers interested,” said Misbah in a national reviewer meeting in order to unify the perception of monitoring and evaluating five fields of student creativity programs (PKM) in 2019 which was held at the Unissula campus (19/6).

He further revealed that the research potential of Indonesian students is actually very high considering the quantity in Indonesia is far more than that of students from various countries, especially within the scope of ASEAN. This is a joint challenge among universities in Indonesia to create an atmosphere that can enhance the enthusiasm of researching the nation’s future successors.

Misbah also reminded that in the current university education environment there is a change in learning patterns that used to be very dependent on lecturers, but along with the development of information and technology advances like today, students want to learn together so lecturers must be able to adapt so that they can provide maximum educational services.

Meanwhile, Unissula rector, Ir. Prabowo Setiyawan, M.T., Ph.D. welcomed the presence of national reviewers on his campus. This event was very important so that reviewers would have the same understanding so that they could become more competent judges in assessing students PKM studies.
