Former Rector of Unissula Dr. Rofiq Anwar Unissula SpPA passed away (26/10) at 9:15 in Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital at the age of 72 years. Before interred, his remains was honored at Unissula mosque lead by the chairman of the MUI Central Java, KH Ahmad Daroji which was also attended by Chairman of the Foundation for Waqf Board Sultan Agung Hasan Toha Putra, Rector of Unissula Anis Malik Thoha LC MA PhD, along with hundreds of faculty staff and students.

Rector in his speech stated that Unissula had loss figure of an exemplary teacher and role model in the world of education. “He has incised piece of history that we can not possibly forget about Unissula. He was very persistent figure in the fight, especially in education,” said Anis. One of the most historic is implementing Islamic academic culture as well as the university’s official cultural education strategy since 2005.

During his lifetime, the man who was born in Banjarnegara in 1944 has been credited in many things, among others, becoming Rector of Unissula 2001-2009, Head of the Faculty of Medicine of Diponegoro University from 2000 to 2005, Vice Rector of Diponegoro University from 1994-1998, expert staff director of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital from 1991 to 1993, Director of Roemani Hospital from 1986-1991
