Elementary School Teacher Education Unissula Wins Learning Media National Championship

The student team from Unissula Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) won Second Place in the national level learning media competition held in Binus (6/22). In the contest with the theme Creating Future Leader, PGSD Unissula sent two teams, “BuDi Ke Indonesia”, which had an extension of Indonesian independence audio books and Tapir Sapa media (long unit smart ladder). The contested media were adjusted to the theme of the competition as well as being an alternative solution to foster a spirit of nationalism in students.

The winners were Indah Puji Lestari, Reza Maida Nur Afana, and Kukuh Tyas Eka Rahardian who were guided by lecturer Rida Fironika Kusumadewi, M.Pd. and Sari Yustiana, M.Pd.

The media team of BuDi Ke Indonesia won the second place after surpassing several stages of process, including the preliminary round, semifinals, and grand finals. In addition to the learning media contest, the committee also organized a workshop on choosing learning media that was effective, efficient, and in accordance with student characteristics. The workshop was aimed for participants to have a provision on what media they will use when they teach at school later.

Head of PGSD Study Program, Jupriyanto, M.Pd, said that this victory was a proof that Unissula PGSD students were able to compete with PGSD students from other well-known universities. This victory also motivated other PGSD students to continue to excel.

The competition was attended by several universities including Padang State University, Kuningan University, Muhammadiyah University Tasikmalaya, President University, etc.
