Unissula’s Faculty of Engineering students successfully won the first place in Balsa Bridge Competition II Central Java-Yogyakarta region held at UTY(25-26/4). They are M Faqih Assidqi, M Fiko Prameswara, and M Prasetyo. They defeated 52 teams from various state and private universities.
Faqih said “This competition is a competition of building bridge prototype out of balsa woods. The scoring includes material efficiency, bridge strength, and bridge assembly speed. Faculty of Engineering team achieved the highest score by sustaining 47kg of weight. While the runner up sustained 44kg and the third place 40 kg.
“We are grateful and thankful to our parents who always pray for us. We hope that Faculty of Engineering will be better in the future and able to participate in the higher level competition. After this event, insya Allah we will join the same competition on May 11th 2019.” Faqih added. .
For their achievement they were awarded with Rp 2. 000.000 of cash, trophy and championship certificates.
