Faculty of Economics (FE) Unissula held a workshop on strengthening the value of cultural values and commitment as a faculty ambassador held in Bandungan (24/1). The one-day workshop was held in order to prepare the young generation to face the industrial revolution era 4.0 and digital economy.

Keynote speaker, Legisan S Samtafsir from TCS Consulting said that the importance of self-learning needs to be harmonized with soft competence. “Disruption university or an independent learning model with internet resources will only provide young generation with hard competence while soft competence like humanism, emphaty and the meaning of life become lesser”, he said.

Still according to Legisan, it is very important to prepare education on the basis of a combination of science and religion. The values of religion will be a strong foundation so that the younger generation will never hesitate to fight in any era.

Meanwhile, the dean of Olivia Fachrunnisa Ph.D. conveyed that her faculty has five values of faculty of economics Unissula which have been formulated as trust, cooperation, fairness, leadership, and innovation. She further expressed that this workshop was held to strengthen the implementation of the five values to lecturers and employees as Faculty of Economics ambasador to create the best generation who are ready to build Islamic civilization through education of economics.
